Hand-carved Rowan Wood Wand For Protection & The Fey

GBP 32.00

A stunning Rowan wand full of character. Made from a piece of seasoned wood from a tree that sadly lost a branch during the winter storms last year. I found it while walking on one of the Dorset Iron Age hillforts.

it measures about 29cm long and has the ogham symbol associated with blackthorn on its end.

Rowan is one of the trees best loved by witches. Small, and tends to grow on hillsides it’s associated with protection (including from witches) and is named as a fairy tree. It’s berries are said to bring protection to travellers.

It is one of the trees of the Celtic Tree Ogham and associated with energy and life force.

Raven has been making wands for decades, and their work has flown around the globe to Witches and Magical Practitioners on many continents. Wands are made of gathered, not harvested wood usually found locally in the South West of England (and a few from further afield) and are often ornamented with pyrography. Each wand is finished with handmade beeswax polish from happy local bees and will come to you in a simple bag made from upcycled fabric.

While each wand is unique, Raven is sometimes willing to consider make a wand in a similar style for you from the same or a different wood.
