Vintage Teak Wood Labyrinth Offering Dish
A stunning Labyrinth offering dish made from an upcycled teak bowl rescued from a second hand store.
I spent many hour sanding the old finish off it, and then pyrographed a seven walled labyrinth design into the wood. It’s been finished with tung oil - which is food safe.
the labyrinth design is inspired by those found at Rocky Valley near Tintagel, Cornwall.
the bowl measures about 15cm across and is about 8cm tall.
Originally it was turned from two pieces of wood - you can see the seam on its pedestal, and the screw holes on the bottom which would have been used to anchor it to the lathe.
