Rosary Style Necklace for St Melangell: Welsh Saint of Hares
Made in sacred space at full moon closest to the Beltane, this rosary style necklace was made from an upcycled, broken vintage necklace with a little vintage brass hare pendant. The beads are glass, and are pale green in colour - the colour of the new spring leaves while I was making this.
St Melangell is the Welsh patron saint of hares. You can visit her shrine and church hidden in a remote Welsh valley.
This is intended as a a ritual piece to use in your work with St Melangell and Hares.
It measures about 52cm long, the pendant tail measures 8cm long. It fastens with a lobster claw clasp.
This is one of a series of necklaces made from upcycled bead that are each one of a kind, made by Raven Edgewalker of Greenwomancrafts in their studio near to Glastonbury, UK.
