Baltic Amber beads are sourced from Lithuania, while the Lignite Jet is sourced from a trusted supplier, while raw jet is sourced from Whitby in the North of the UK. Beads from each batch are randomly tested to ensure their authenticity, since there is much fake or low quality jet on the market. Amber is the fossilised sap of trees, while jet is highly compressed coal, often washed ashore from seams that burst open under the sea. Both feel warmer to the touch than might be expected and are significantly lighter in weight than similar sized gemstones.
