This is a particularly unusual wand made from the dried, woody stem of a large Euphobia plant that lives in my garden. The tip is naturally hollowed. I’ve sanded the wood smooth and pyrographed a spiral design along it.
The wand measures about 32cm long
Euphobia or Spurges are a large family of plants that include small annuals and vast perennials….. a few growing in my garden. They all contain a poisonous white sap that has purging properties and which can cause skin irritation - leading to their alternate names “Devil’s or Witches’ Milk”.
Spurges are good for protection, and also purging - ideally magically rather than in the body.
The wood, nicely dried and empty of it’s sap is quite safe to handle - but don’t chew on it please.
